On their site they say...

The textbooks on this site are all released under an open content license that means that they are free forever. No one can keep you from using these materials, modifying them or distributing them. Also, the license guarantees that any works that are derived from these materials will be similarly free to modify and distribute, forever.

In the licence agreement page it says...

The purpose of this License is to make a manual, textbook, or other functional and useful document “free” in the sense of freedom: to assure everyone the effective freedom to copy and redistribute it, with or without modifying it, either commercially or noncommercially.

Note that they specify that the texts are 'free' as in freedom rather than 'free' as in no money. To further reinforce this point, they say you have the "freedom to copy and redistribute it...with or without modifying it...commercially or noncommercially".

In short, you can sell it, modify it, give it away for free or whatever else you want to do!

Some areas are better developed than others but it's growing all the time. Definitely one to add to your Favorites.

Another resource from the same people is WikiSource which is "a repository of primary source texts" and WikiMedia which is "a central repository for free images, music, sound and video clips".

Wikibooks is a Wikimedia community for creating a free library of educational textbooks that anyone can edit
